- Family dynamics - are there members who are not talking to eachother, divorces, etc. It is best to seat these people away from each other. Unless you want some excitement put them all at the same table, kidding.
- Put guests together roughly near the same age. This ensures that there is common ground between them. Eg. Aunts and uncles together, and cousins together.
- Have table numbers on all the tables, and ensure they are clearly visable. This will be important for couples who are having large weddings. You don't really want your guests to have trouble finding their table. If you are considering table names etc.. instead of numbers, smaller weddings should consider this more then large parties. Again you don't want your guests walking around lost.
- For the head table, have it anyway you want. Have it on a platform with everyone lined up or have it down with everyone else. Just ensure you make it more noticable as it will be a focal point.
